How to build the perfect jewelry collection.
Classic & Classy jewelry inspiration pieces every woman should have in her collection! I have a lot of jewelry pieces that pictured here, or that are very similar. . . Take a closer look at your jewelry collection. Is it time for an update? Get rid of broken or outdated accessories. Here are my rules: 1. Go for better quality, pieces that are real or look real. 2. Diamonds and pearls are always in style. Even CZ and fake pearls look great & it’s hard to tell the difference. 3. Wear simple pieces for daytime & statement pieces for night. 4. Delicate jewelry and simple studs look better than big fake pieces. 5. Buy pieces that work well together and can be mixed and matched. Here is a great article to give you more info and insight on how to build a better jewelry collection : http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/style/costume-jewelry-look-cheap.htm
After some major closet and wardrobe evaluations, I realized how much I love a white tshirt. It has become the go-to staple in my wardrobe that not only makes getting dressed easier, but it is always classic and timeless. Here is an example of how you can wear a white V neck Tshirt paired with white pants (or jeans) to wear as a daytime outfit (pictured with the accessories on the left) or as an evening outfit (paired with the black accessories on the right.)
I love playing around with different looks based around the white Tshirt. It can be dressed up or down, and is the perfect essential piece that is commonly overlooked. So stock up on a nice crisp stack of brand new white Tshirts, or pull the ones you already have out, and on the days where you don’t know what to wear…. Start with a white Tshirt and go from there!!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect container to store false lashes I wanted to reuse, as well as something that could hold a lot of lashes for travel, since I’m always flying out of the country. . .
I FOUND IT! I Found it!
The perfect plastic container that can easily fit in a large makeup bag, or even in your purse, and can hold 10 or more pairs of lashes PLUS it even has a compartment for holding lash glue! And I managed to squeeze a second Clear lash Glue bottle in there for individuals. The compartments are even 4 slots wide enough to hold the longer strips of lashes, and then there are a 6 smaller slots to store regulars and halfsies.
I found these re-useable plastic containers in the Nail section at Rite Aid (Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS, and other pharmacy/beauty supplies will probably have them too!) This one pictured is by KISS NAILS, and it originally comes stocked with glue on nails and nail glue.
I took all the nails and nail glue out and I am now just using the perfect little container to store my lash strips. There was one by Nailene Nails there as well, but it didn’t have the big slot at the top to store the lash glue tube. . . but it can hold more lashes if that’s what you prefer. So I got the container with nails and glue included for only about $6.00 total. I actually used the nails that came with it too, so they didn’t go to waste, but if you don’t need them, and just need the container, it’s so cheap it’s worth it.
I fit about 15 pairs of lashes inside. I had 5 pairs of Whispies style lashes, that I stacked together. (So the really thick looking ones you see in the container are actually 5 pairs of the right side, and 5 pairs of the left side stacked on top of each other gently).
You can use a label maker if you are really organized to even label your lashes if you wanted to.
Hope this little Beauty Organizing Tip by Sunset Blonde helps you out! It is a great idea also for Pro-Makeup Artists on the go!
💗”Coco & Cashmere”💗 is my hair secret!
is amazing for taming frizz & conditioning hair, plus doubles as a natural and great body moisturizer! Instead of using synthetic serums, try natural coconut oil instead. A little goes a long way! (I’ve written more about coconut oil- click here)
I’m a huge fan of coconut oil, and have been using it for years, as a body moisturizer, cuticle oil, hair defrizzer, deep conditioner, and facial moisturizer. I love the spray version that just recently became available at Trader Joes, you can also find it at the regular grocery stores. I use it all over my body after a shower by spraying it on and then rubbing it in, then what is left on my hands after rubbing it on my body, I then smooth it on the ends of my hair. It’s easier to apply and less messy than the solid version, you can even keep it in your shower and spray yourself down after showering! The best part is that it’s all natural, and even edible. Why not put something on your body, that you can also put in it?

I usually always try to leave the house with at least my hair looking fabulous. If I’m running short on time, I will put on less makeup and spend more time on styling my hair. Great hair looks as if you actually have the time (& funds) to treat your hair right.
So many women can’t grow their hair past a certain point. If you are like me, now you can EASILY fake it. Real hair Clip-in Hair extensions are the easiest, fastest, lowest maintenance, and cheapest way to have great hair.
CASHMERE HAIR is my amazing brand new clip-in hair extension line that just had it’s grand opening and is available to purchase online at http://www.cashmere-hair.com. As a long time wearer of clip in hair extensions, and always making my own (since I could never find good ones) I decided that it was time to share my hair secret with other women that want amazing hair, without the commitment and cost of the semi-permanent versions. Cashmere hair is the easiest clip in system, with amazingly beautiful quality hair that is as soft as cashmere!
My Vampire Is Buff OPI Gelcolor is my current color of the moment. A pretty very pale nude color with the long lasting staying power of a Gel Manicure! I’m always picking nude shades, but there are so many different nude shades out there, that I never run out of options. It might be a tad boring, but it’s always classic, natural, and pretty. I feel the most upscale and elegant with a more natural manicure. Sure, its nice to do a little nail art, or express yourself with nail color, but my favorite expression is beauty, and what better way to be beautiful than to tap into & enhance the natural beauty we are all created with?
I’m on day 3 of the manicure and it is still in perfect condition. No chips. My favorite part of a gel manicure is that my nails don’t break, like they do with regular polish. It reinforeces them with the strength that my fragile nails need.
I got my nails done at Nails By Design, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. One of my favorite nail places, they charged me $65 for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Which is a pretty good deal for both. I never get gel on my toes because regular polish seems to stay on my toes for weeks, unlike my nails. I’m so rough on my nails too, buttoning and unbottoning clothes at photoshoots, typing, etc.
With my birthday coming up, I’ve been thinking about investing in one of the OPI LED Lights that the salon uses to cure Gel manicures. Apparently LED lights are faster and safer than the UV lights. Although, they are more expensive. I’m on the hunt to spend less by searching on the internet for a good deal. I think that doing it myself will actually save me a lot of money. Gel Manicures last so much longer on me, and are just as easy to apply and remove yourself as regular nail polish if you have the right techniques (Click here to watch the VIDEO). The LED Light pays for itself within a few months. I’m going to also try to use my friend’s discount to purchase the actual nail colors and base/topcoats at a PRO shop.
Baby Powder isn’t just for babies, and is a must have beauty product. There are so many uses for it, but a favorite and most popular beauty secret is to use it as a dry shampoo. Using baby powder as a dry shampoo on oily/dirty hair is a great solution to absorb oil and refresh your hair.
There are also great alternatives to traditional baby powder that are more natural & talc-free. Baby powder is reasonably priced and it lasts a really long time.
Shake powder out into palm of your hand, rub together in hands and work the powder into the scalp & roots where hair is the most oily. Once applied, work a brush through root to tip to get rid of excess powder and to distribute evenly.
We Recommend: Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Dusting Powder because it is talc free!
