Wildfox is one of my favorite brands of comfy casual clothes. I love the Baggy Beach Jumper sweat shirts, they are so soft, and have all sorts of great graphics and sayings on them. They feel sort of vintage are are completely cozy. Their sweatshirts make great gifts, and are hard to resist sleeping in. I recently discovered their track suits which fit tight and sexy, so I don’t feel like a total bum even though I’m wearing super comfy clothes.

I buy all my Wildfox Clothes from Shopdivine.com – Mainly because I model for their online store and get a discount on everything. But they do have a great selection of Wildfox clothes, with new items every week, and ship internationally as well!

Sometimes I browse Hautelook.com for shopping deals, and I recently got excited about the WildFox accessories that they were selling for really cheap. I couldn’t decide between which color earrings I liked better, so I got both. At only $14.00 for 10k gold plated enamel filled earrings, I figured I would decide which color looked best on me, and could gift the other pair. I also Bought the WildFox Red enamel 10k gold plated heart necklace. I have a red Louis Vuitton bag that I thought this would make another nice red “pop” of color when I wear them together. There were several different scarves available as well, and decided on the Grey Garden Love Potion No. 9 Scarf in Light Pink. Baby pink has been my favorite color to wear lately, super feminine, but subtle.

The only thing I don’t really like about hautelook.com is that it takes FOREVER for them to ship out items, so I haven’t received the accessories yet. Shopdivine.com doesn’t sell any of the Wildfox accessories, but I googled it and found several other locations that you can purchase them from including amazon and ebay.

I’m a huge fan of coconut oil, and have been using it for years, as a body moisturizer, cuticle oil, hair defrizzer, deep conditioner, and facial moisturizer.  I love the spray version that just recently became available at Trader Joes, you can also find it at the regular grocery stores. I use it all over my body after a shower by spraying it on and then rubbing it in, then what is left on my hands after rubbing it on my body, I then smooth it on the ends of my hair. It’s easier to apply and less messy than the solid version, you can even keep it in your shower and spray yourself down after showering! The best part is that it’s all natural, and even edible. My Vampire Is Buff OPI Gelcolor is my current color of the moment. A pretty very pale nude color with the long lasting staying power of a Gel Manicure! I’m always picking nude shades, but there are so many different nude shades out there, that I never run out of options. It might be a tad boring, but it’s always classic, natural, and pretty. I feel the most upscale and elegant with a more natural manicure. Sure, its nice to do a little nail art, or express yourself with nail color, but my favorite expression is beauty, and what better way to be beautiful than to tap into & enhance the natural beauty we are all created with?

I’m on day 3 of the manicure and it is still in perfect condition. No chips. My favorite part of a gel manicure is that my nails don’t break, like they do with regular polish. It reinforeces them with the strength that my fragile nails need.

I got my nails done at Nails By Design, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. One of my favorite nail places, they charged me $65 for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Which is a pretty good deal for both.  I never get gel on my toes because regular polish seems to stay on my toes for weeks, unlike my nails. I’m so rough on my nails too, buttoning and unbottoning clothes at photoshoots, typing, etc.

With my birthday coming up, I’ve been thinking about investing in one of the OPI LED Lights that the salon uses to cure Gel manicures. Apparently LED lights are faster and safer than the UV lights. Although, they are more expensive. I’m on the hunt to spend less by searching on the internet for a good deal. I think that doing it myself will actually save me a lot of money. Gel Manicures last so much longer on me, and are just as easy to apply and remove yourself as regular nail polish if you have the right techniques  (Click here to watch the VIDEO).  The LED Light pays for itself within a few months. I’m going to also try to use my friend’s discount to purchase the actual nail colors and base/topcoats at a PRO shop.

Baby Powder isn’t just for babies, and is a must have beauty product. There are so many uses for it, but a favorite and most popular beauty secret is to use it as a dry shampoo.  Using baby powder as a dry shampoo on oily/dirty hair is a great solution to absorb oil and refresh your hair.

There are also great alternatives to traditional baby powder that are more natural & talc-free. Baby powder is reasonably priced and it lasts a really long time.

Shake powder out into palm of your hand, rub together in hands and work the powder into the scalp & roots where hair is the most oily. Once applied, work a brush through root to tip to get rid of excess powder and to distribute evenly.

Perfume and fragrances are such a personal thing. Everyone is attracted to different scents, and perfume can smell different on different people’s  skin. You should always try out a fragrance before you buy the entire bottle. Most stores that sell fragrance will often times give you a small sample bottle, or make you a sample of it to try. These samples are a great way to try a fragrance out for a week or two before buying it. Sometimes you may like how it smells at first, but after some time, a fragrance will change and develop. The last thing you want is to not like it after wearing it for a while. I’m really picky about fragrances, and very rarely find ones that I like. I attended this year’s The Makeup Show LA, and fell in LoVe! This year was my second year attending, so I knew what to expect and came prepared. What I wasn’t prepared for, was my newest obsession, the Monda Studio LED Makeup Case that I bought for a STEAL at the show!! The glistening bright lights that rim the mirror in the top of the case called to me as I walked by them in the Nigel’s booth, and I couldn’t help but stare in awe of this beautiful invention. I had seen lighted makeup cased before, but they were huge, had actual lightbulbs and were over $1000. The price tag was so reasonable on these cases, and the size was absolutely perfect. I first decided that I would get the smallest size, but at the last minute changed my mind to get the medium sized one.

The MSC-810 LED Lighted Mirror Make Up Station is the one I purchased. I comes on wheels, and has a handle to pull like a suitcase when it is closed and upright. It’s a little on the heavy side, but because it’s on wheels it’s manageable.

The best part, for me, are the lights! They work really well and are LED lights, which last a really long time 30-50,000 hours, you don’t need to replace them, and you can even brighten or dim them for the proper lighting effect! These lights also emit a minimal amount of heat and save 80% of the energy that incandescent lights use  It plugs into an outlet, and just press the button to turn them on, and you are ready to go!

For professional makeup artists, this is a great way to get better lighting on the go, and for personal use, the smaller sized ones are perfect for your own personal vanity!
